Started From the Bottom Now We’re Here April 28, 2016First off, I know it’s taken me forever and a day to get this post up, and I’m not even going to try and come up with some half- ass reason why I didn’t do it sooner. In fear of writing a post so long, it would rival one of those inappropriately lengthly Oscar speeches where the academy has to start the music as a warning, I’m going to keep it short and sweet! Though these thank you’s are in no particular order, I have to thank my team first and foremost! These ladies not listened to multiple melt downs (yes, I loose my shit every now and then), they kept me level headed while I was in total zombie mode. Forget Taylor Swift and her #SquadGoals, this is the only squad I need in my life! Dj Danny McCambridge Another huge thank you goes to DJ Danny McCambridge! The night of the event started off a bit stressful as I had been running behind by a good 20 minutes all day. Not entirely an unusual occurrence if you know me. But, as soon as Dj Danny came in and started to play one of the best mixes I’ve heard, my worries flew out the door! This talented beat mixolgist didn’t just help me the night of the launch event, but has been helping me blog every since! His hip hop mixes wake me up and get the creative juices flowing. They’ve also been known been known to cure my writers block so if you ever find yourself in need of some inspiration, here’s a link to one of my favorite mixes ( http://dannyofftherecord.com/hip-hop-mixes/). Once my stress had suppressed (much to do with my mom) and I shoved a cake pop or two, in my face I looked around and realized I must be one of the luckiest girls around. I was surrounded by all of my favorite people in a gorgeous art gallery celebrating the relaunch of a passion project that I started with no idea of what the outcome would be!
