Mormor’s German Chocolate Cookies March 10, 2015 Grandparents are the best! They are the people who let us eat chocolate for breakfast, and spoil us to no end. They also teach us many life lessons. My grandpa taught each one of us the art of sucking up (except my cousin Peyton, sorry P I guess you missed the boat on that one!) and my grandma taught us how to love unconditionally and BAKE! Some of my earliest memories were in her kitchen standing on a chair stirring the cookie dough. Now, by no means am I Betty Crocker in the kitchen, but I sure can make a mean chocolate chip cookie! My recipe is a secret, and I’m still not sure I want to share yet, but my grandma (I call her Mormor which is Norwegian for Grandma – yes that’s right, my grandma’s a viking) was kind enough to let me use her amazingly easy, double chocolate chip cookie recipe! My whole family loves these – my brother once ate a whole tin of them while visiting for Christmas, and I’m pretty sure I have had one for breakfast on occasion! Add the ingredients listed in the order they are listed and then mix them all together by hand! Once the dough is mixed, you can drop spoon fulls of the dough on an ungreased cookie sheet and pop them in the oven! Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 mins and ENJOY!!!!
