Green Tie Ball Ready October 7, 2015 While I was watching Cinderella with my grandparents last weekend (because I love nothing more than seeing Rob Stark dance around in tights) I realized that Cinderella really had a hard go of things. Sure she got Prince Charming in the end, but she had work for how many years before her fairy godmother showed up?! We may think that these Disney princesses have it all. Great clothes, perfect hair, and of course Prince Charming, but in the modern day we have air brushed makeup, dress rental services, and of course blow dry bars! What more could a girl ask for? Plus, once the clock strikes midnight, we still get to keep the awesome hair style, dress and shoes! I’d say this is a more reliable way to get ready for events if you ask me! When I learned that Chicago Gateway Green was throwing this year’s Green Tie Ball XXIV at the ever glamorous Venue One on Saturday, October 10th, I knew that I was going to need more than just the right dress or a fairy godmother to show up black tie ready. That’s when I called in the pros at Blowout Junkie to work their magic! I may know how to dress (though that’s even questionable at times) but when it comes to my hair, I am a bit challenged. The best part of going into Blowout Junkie is that the only challenging part is picking which style looks best with your outfit – once that’s done, it’s smooth sailing the rest of the way! Since I knew I wanted my hair up for the event, I went with my signature crown braid. It’s super simple, yet chic, and it has the potential to stay in the next day as well! **Tune in next Monday after the event to see the hairstyle in action! I will also be giving a full recap of this year’s Green Tie Ball – stay tuned! Photos by: My Rockstar Intern Nicole RELATED POSTSLadylike GlamourInterview with: Christine A. MooreSpring is that You?
